How do I see my albums from iCloud?

Set Foto Frames into album mode. If the app is in Curated mode, grant the app Full Access or All Access to your photos in settings.

How do I know if an album is a shared?

On the album select screen, any shared albums are decorated with the shared album icon as you can see in this image inside the blue rectangle.

How do I set up my iOS device to only run Foto Frames?

To do this, you’ll need to set up Guided Access. Apple has great instructions that you can find here.
